Terms of Service

1. About CloutBid
CloutBid is a creator-only service at launch. It lets creators publish a profile, link their social accounts and compete for positions on public leaderboards through confirmed payments. You may browse the service without an account. You need an account to claim or manage a creator profile and proceed towards payment.
2. Your account and creator profile
You may promote only your own creator profile. You must not claim, impersonate or purchase ranking credit for another person's profile. Information you submit must be accurate, and social accounts must genuinely belong to you or be under your control.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account. Social verification may be required before certain actions are available.
3. Profile content
Creator bios may contain up to 160 characters. You must not submit fraudulent, deceptive, hateful, threatening, illegal or malicious content, or content that infringes another person's rights. You remain responsible for information you submit.
CloutBid may remove content, restrict a profile or suspend an account where it reasonably believes these Terms or the published Rules have been breached.
4. Payments and Total bid
When payments are enabled, Stripe will process payments. Each payment must be a whole-dollar amount of $5 or more. Successful confirmed payments add cumulatively to your Total bid. Failed or cancelled payments do not increase Total bid or affect ranking.
Payments are generally non-refundable once successfully confirmed and ranking credit has been applied, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
5. Ranking
Ranking is based on one confirmed Total bid per creator. That same Total bid is displayed on Overall and on every leaderboard for a social account the creator has linked. Higher Total bid ranks higher. Linking an additional social account later does not require another payment. Removing a social account removes the creator from that platform leaderboard and does not reduce or refund the Total bid. Confirmed payments are cumulative: each successful payment is added to the existing Total bid.
If two creators have equal Total bids, the creator whose confirmed payment reached that total first remains higher. Projected position is an estimate, not a guarantee. Your actual position may change because other creators can make payments.
6. Third-party services
Social platforms and Stripe are third-party services and are not operated by CloutBid. Their own terms and privacy practices apply when you use them. CloutBid is not responsible for the availability or operation of third-party services.
7. Service availability and changes
CloutBid does not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors. The service, features and leaderboards may be updated, restricted or withdrawn where reasonably necessary.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, CloutBid is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, or loss caused by third-party services or circumstances outside its reasonable control. CloutBid does not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Changes to these Terms
CloutBid may update these Terms as the service changes or to meet legal, security or operational requirements. The date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply to later use of the service.
10. Contact
If you need to contact CloutBid about these Terms, use the contact details made available through the service.
