Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 August 2026

1. Information you provide

Information you provide may include:

  • your email address and account credentials;
  • your creator display name and CloutBid handle;
  • your bio;
  • social-media handles and profile URLs; and
  • payment-related transaction references when payments are enabled.

Passwords and private authentication information are not displayed publicly. When payments are enabled, Stripe will handle card and payment information. CloutBid does not store full payment card details.

2. Information collected automatically

CloutBid and its infrastructure providers may process basic technical and device information, IP or network information, authentication and session information, and usage or security logs. This information supports service delivery, security and fraud prevention.

When outbound click tracking is enabled, CloutBid may record social-link click events to provide Clicks/hr information. This feature is not currently described as active unless it is made available through the service.

3. Why information is used

Information may be used to:

  • create and maintain accounts;
  • operate and display creator profiles;
  • provide creator leaderboards;
  • process payments when payment functionality is enabled;
  • prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
  • maintain and improve the service;
  • respond to enquiries; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

4. Lawful bases

Under UK data-protection law, processing may be necessary to perform a contract with you, or to take steps at your request before entering one. CloutBid may also rely on legitimate interests, such as operating and securing the service, preventing abuse and improving functionality, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Information may be processed to meet a legal obligation. Consent is used where specifically required, and may be withdrawn for future processing that relies on consent.

5. Public information

Creator information intentionally submitted for public display can be visible to anyone. This may include your display name, CloutBid handle, bio, entered social links, ranking, Total bid and Clicks/hr when that feature is enabled.

Passwords and private authentication or session information are not public.

6. Service providers

CloutBid uses service providers to operate the service. These include Supabase for authentication and database infrastructure, and Vercel for application hosting and deployment. Stripe will provide payment processing when payments are enabled.

Relevant social platforms may receive information if OAuth verification is introduced later. Social OAuth verification is not currently live.

7. International processing

Service providers may process information in countries outside the UK. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used in accordance with applicable data-protection law. The safeguards used depend on the provider, processing location and legal requirements in force at the time.

8. Retention

Information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described in this Policy. Retention depends on factors including whether an account remains active, whether information is needed to provide the service, and applicable legal, accounting, fraud-prevention and security requirements.

9. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may give you rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict processing, object to processing, and receive certain information in a portable format. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. Its current contact information is available on the ICO website.

10. Cookies and session technology

CloutBid may use essential cookies or similar session technology to keep accounts signed in, protect the service and provide requested functionality. This Policy does not claim that marketing cookies are currently used.

11. Children

CloutBid is designed for creators managing their own public profiles and is not intended for children. If CloutBid learns that a child has provided personal information inappropriately, it will take reasonable steps to address the situation.

12. Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be updated as the service, providers or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.

13. Contact

If you need to contact CloutBid about privacy, use the contact details made available through the service.
